Building Project Update

Christmas is over. In my experience, Christmas is a lot like summer in that we spend so much time preparing and getting ready that before we know it, it's here and gone. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and were able to visit with family and friends you haven't seen for a while.

But the end of one thing usually gives way to the beginning of something else, and that is certainly the case in our parish - our building project. Many of you are asking; "When are we going to break ground?", "We need the project to get started." I don't want to spend much time talking about it. I do, though, want to take some time to acknowledge your positive response to the project.

We are still waiting for the results of our feasibility study. At present we are doing focus groups. Today, we will take a brief written survey during Mass. I encourage you to participate and I look forward to your ideas about our parish community. The feasibility study will assess the fundraising potential of our parish and identify the next step to develop a fundraising plan of action. As soon as it comes, the Building, Pastoral and Financial Council will meet and study it, and we will share the results with you.

Please continue to keep the Building project in your prayers and pray that we as a parish may have the vision to see how we should use our building to share God's love, the wisdom to take the right steps at the right time, and the patience to continue when the way ahead seems challenging. And, as always, please do talk to any of the Building Committee Members if you have any questions or would like to know more.
