Parish Picnic Thank You

On Sunday September 18th we held our Annual Fall Picnic with this year's theme United in Faith: Building for the Future. It succeeded again in its primary goal of socializing with our faith community and it was made possible by each and every one of you. Thank you to Shop Rite for their always generous food donations of the hot dogs, hamburgers and water. Thank you Frank Yasunas for running the pick-up.

Our special thanks to Lori Young and the members of the Stewardship committee: Dan Dawson, Sandra Kopka, Katharine Lawrence, Donna Mustillo, Pat Dziubek, Carol Rocha and Deacon Tony. We are also deeply grateful to Ken Mandoli our master of ceremonies, Brian O'Rourke and his band the Shade and Aidan Fernandez, our teen disc jockey for keeping us all entertained and moving to the music.

Also, thank you to the entire special Children's Construction and building activities. Patti Longordo for chairing and preparing 75 birdhouses for construction and decoration. The special working together construction games by Cathy O'Rourke, Joanne Hyland, Patrick, Jack and Nora O'Rourke, Molly Evers and Alicia Viscomi. A special thank you to Elena Koretzky for the use and supervision of her bouncy house; the 8th grade Confirmation class and high school students that helped in the Lego and construction tents as well as helping with set-up and clean-up for the picnic. Thank you to Mike Iannozzi for the soccer kick-off for our youth as well as thank you to Andrew and Chad at USA Karate and Fitness in Lebanon for their demonstration and prizes. Thank you to Loretta Cuccia and her team for the Family Mass table and activity.

Thank you to Diane and Tom Corrigan and Sue Quick for selling 50/50 tickets. Thank you to Grill Master Pete Walter and his crews well as Carmen and Paul Patricola and Denise Massimo, our food overseer's crew. Thank you Donna Baker and her committee at the build your own Ice cream Sunday tent. Thank you to our many ticket sellers.

This event relies on the constant and ready volunteers of the men from Knight of Columbus. Thank you Wayne and Pat Dziubek and crew that transported the tables from OLV and all the Knights for their help in tent set-up and providing the spirited fun in the beer gardens. A special thank you to Bill Smith for his many contributions. Thank you to the LaTournos family and the use of their tent which provided shade and cover for the fabulous homemade dishes that were passed and enjoyed by all. And last, but not least, thank you to all the other volunteers not mentioned above but appreciated. We are grateful to you in making the picnic another success in our parish life.
