Thank You for Easter

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the work you did to make the Triduum and Easter celebrations so prayerful and joy filled. We may not often consider the fact that there are parishioners who give so freely of their time and talent...some behind the scenes, and some in plain view.

A sincere thank you to Lisa Sforza and our choir who gave so selflessly of themselves to come to many evening practices so that they could lead us in song as we celebrated the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus. To Donna Cahill and her Decorating Committee who adorned our worship space in such a beautiful way, in a way that certainly gives glory to God and helps us all to appreciate, even more deeply, the beauty that is this season of Easter.

Thank you to the Ushers, Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Servers and to our Sacristan, who served countless hours helping to get everything ready to look its best for our parish family. Thank you, too, to the Knights of Columbus for making our grounds so beautiful!

Thank you to Deacon Tony Russo and his team of RCIA leaders who helped bring into the Faith community of our parish this Easter one new Catholic member. They also helped one other member of the Christian community come into full communion with the Catholic Church through the reception of Confirmation and First Holy Communion. As a result, Bradley Pultz and Jameson Kimball are now full members of the Catholic Church. May the fruits of these labors continue to multiply!

The bottom line is there are times when we forget that there are those who work very hard to make sure that our celebrations are the best that they can be. That there are so many who spend many, many hours here preparing themselves or our worship space so that when we gather, we can pray well and in a true spirit of love. These are the people who often go unrecognized, but they are certainly appreciated.

I wish to share my heartfelt gratitude to all of you who continue to selflessly serve in this community as we move into the future. We are truly blessed to have so many who give so freely of themselves, all in the name of Christ. We could not do what we do without you.

May God bless this community of St. Catherine of Siena, during this Easter season and always.
